Integrating Religion &/Or Spiritual Beliefs
Once upon a time, therapists/clinicians were taught to leave the subjects of religion &/or spirituality out of the office. Too much room for too much subjectivity. How though, can we as one spoke of the health & wellness wheel, eliminate such an integral part of human experience? Talk about feeling/being uprooted!
In what/whom do you have faith? What even is faith? Can we invite our religious/spiritual belief systems to assist in rooting us in security, safety, wholeness, meaning during a time in human history of tremendous upheaval, uncertainty, splintering, dare I suggest instability?
The therapy space is actually a healthy place to explore & express our religious &/or spiritual questions and convictions. We must root strong.
